Stephen Curry Earns Big Award Even Amid Golden State Warriors’ Offseason
Cary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports

Stephen Curry is truly a star who has transcended the game itself after years of dominating in the NBA and the countless awards he has won throughout his career. Just recently, though, the four-time champion won big again despite the Dubs’ disappointing finish this season.

After winning his fourth ring two seasons ago, sGolden State Warriors’ Historic Shooting Night Proves Stephen Curry, Dubs Are Still Dangerous haven’t seen any significant runs in the playoffs. The same can be said for the Dubs’ regular season this year, one that was filled with so much frustration and disappointments.

For starters, only Curry has been effective from the Warriors core of Draymond Green and Klay Thompson. The former was always marred by controversies and antics he started while the latter’s performance has regressed. There’s also Andrew Wiggins who has failed to improve in recent years, leading Golden State to underwhelm his season.

Nevertheless, the Warriors’ All-Star point guard continued to play at a high level. Throughout 74 games this season, Curry averaged 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 5.1 assists. He shot 45 percent from the field, 40 percent from beyond the arc, and 92 percent from the free throw line. Also, the NBA bestowed the Clutch Player of the Year award on him for his ability to win during a game’s final moments.

Golden State Warriors Star Stephen Curry Wins PBWA’s Magic Johnson Award

Apart from getting the CPOY from the league, Curry also won big from the Professional Basketball Writers Association. In a tweet posted by their official account on X , the NBA champion was bestowed with the Magic Johnson award.

The said award is given to players who have been cordial and and cooperative with members of the media. It is named for Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson, a player who exemplified the award’s primary values.

Even though the Dubs had a lost season this year, Curry still managed to get a win for himself. In any case, the All-Star guard has proven time and time again how he has surpassed everyone’s expectations and came out a winner over the years.
