IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley will be in action at AEW Double or Nothing.

All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan took to social media to announce that there will be an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Eliminator match between Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita, tweeting out:

5 years after he arrived at AEW’s first ever event, IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley will fight vs Konosuke Takeshita 1-on-1 at #AEWDoN with a title shot at stake,” Tony Khan said in a post.

The updated card for AEW Double or Nothing is as follows:

  • Anarchy in the Arena: The Elite (The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry) vs. Team AEW (Bryan Danielson, FTR, and Darby Allin)
  • AEW World Championship: Swerve Strickland (c) vs. Christian Cage
  • AEW TBS Championship: Willow Nightingale (c) vs. Mercedes Moné
  • Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match for the AEW TNT Championship: Adam Copeland (c) vs. Malakai Black
  • AEW International Championship: Roderick Strong (c) vs. Will Ospreay
  • AEW Women’s World Championship: “Timeless” Toni Storm (c) (with Luther and Mariah May) vs. Serena Deeb
  • IWGP World Heavyweight Championship Eliminator Match: Jon Moxley (c) vs. Konosuke Takeshtia
